MSCPA Scholarships: Real People With Real Needs

03/12/2010

Real people, with real needs.

Who are they?

They're academic achievers at public and private colleges in Massachusetts who aspire to become CPAs. But they're finding it more difficult to realize their dreams because sources for financial aid are disappearing.

You can help these deserving students by contributing to the Firm Scholarship Program of the MSCPA's Educational Foundation.  We recognize that this is a tough economy for you too and that's why we've restructured the program to allow you to choose a level of participation that is comfortable for your firm. Your commitment will be for one year only, with an opportunity for renewal. All scholarships will be awarded at the Annual Meeting and Recognition Reception on May 19, 2010 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.

Sponsorship levels:

Platinum: $2,500

Scholarship will be named "The (your firm/company's name) Scholarship," AND, you will receive:

  • A 50% savings on a full-page ad in the program book for the Annual Meeting and Recognition Reception; ($250 value)
  • A full-page ad opposite your firm's profile listing in the 2010 College Guide to Public Accounting Firms ($500 value, 2/15/10 deadline);
  • An exhibitor table at the MSCPA's May 19 Career Fair/Networking Expo ($275 value); AND
  • All the benefits of Gold Sponsorship.

Gold: $1,000

Scholarship will be categorized as the "MSCPA Firm Scholarship", AND, your company/firm will be:

  • Advertised to universities and colleges throughout the state;
  • Linked to our Web sites MSCPAonline.org and CPATrack.com;
  • Highlighted in our bi-monthly magazine SumNews;
  • Given two complimentary invitations to the Annual Meeting and Recognition Reception. This celebratory event on May 19 will honor scholarship winners, exam passers, and the Society's newly-elected Board of Directors and its officers; and
  • Acknowledged in the written program of the Annual Meeting & Recognition Reception.

The Educational Foundation would like to double the number of scholarships in 2010.
