There have been significant Accounting Standards Updates (ASUs) issued by the FASB over the past few years which impact NFP Entities. The IRS continues to refine and revise the Form 990 and 990-EZ. Our panel of experts will provide you with what you need to know about the latest and most important GAAP and tax proposals and developments affecting non-profit organizations In addition, our panel of experts will provide an Auditing Update addressing - SAS 130 – Audits of internal control in conjunction with audit of financial statements. - SAS 131—Amendments to AU-C 700 - SAS 132—Going Concern, among other audit-related issues such as a review of Internal Controls and Fraud in the Not-for-Profit Environment. Panels will pay particular attention to these issues in large and small organizations. You will receive a Tax Update that will include: -Changes to Schedule A of IRS form 990, -A comparison of Financial Statements and Form 990, -IRS/Treasury Hot Topics and the IRS Workplan, -A review of Unrelated Business Income (UBIT), -Compensation Approval Process-Intermediate Sanctions. A national expert will provide an Ethics Update (1 CPE Hour) geared to the Not-for-Profit organization. This will include: -Firm Mergers and Acquisitions. -Breaches of Independence. -Omnibus Interpretations. -Hosting Services. -Proposed Omnibus. -Noncompliance with laws and regulations (“NOCLAR”).

There have been major changes to not-for-profit accounting that alter how not-for-profit organizations tell donors, creditors, and the public how they spend and invest their money. The IRS continues to refine and revise the Form 990 and 990-EZ. The new Republican Congress and the Trump administration will be looking at all tax-related policies both to reduce taxes and to reduce the Federal debt.
