What is the CPA Day of Service?
The CPA Day of Service encourages MSCPA members to get involved in their community through volunteerism projects. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are postponing this year's CPA Day of Service that was originally scheduled for Friday, June 5.

We are currently working to reschedule the event whether it's later this fall or in spring 2021, and are looking for feedback on potential dates that could work for our members. Please take this brief survey to choose the date that fits best with your firm/company's schedule. If you have any questions, please contact Hannah Naranjo at hnaranjo@mscpaonline.org.

How Does The MSCPA Day of Service Work?

Volunteers must follow these steps to participate:

  1. Select a cause — Choose an organization to work with.
  2. Contact your charity — Contact your chosen organization immediately to find out what opportunities are available on the selected date (some charities have limited space and opportunities available).
  3. Sign up — After you have chosen and contacted an organization, volunteers will fill out a sign up form officially sign up for the CPA Day of Service.
  4. Participate — Show your pride and the generosity of the CPA profession by serving your community!
  5. Follow-up — After your Day of Service is complete, send pictures and feedback of your event to hnaranjo@mscpaonline.org. They will be posted on our website, SumNews and used in media outreach to show what a difference Massachusetts CPAs made.

How Do I Choose an Organization to Help?

If you don't already have a standing relationship with a charitable organization and you are looking for a good cause, the MSCPA has a few suggestions. Or, reach out to your local schools, libraries and community organizations to learn how you can get involved.
