Radius Ensemble is seeking music lovers to join our Board of Trustees. Trustees are encouraged to share their perspectives as amateur or former musicians, concert goers, and community members, and to add their professional expertise in any field. Trustees are critical to helping spread the word about our mission and concert schedule, and providing leads or connections for potential sources of funds. We have no explicit requirements other than a love for music. Radius Ensemble is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and Massachusetts public charity with a budget of approximately $100,000 that has been in the black since its inception in 1999. Trustees meet quarterly in Cambridge and attend all concerts and events as their schedules permit. All trustees make a tax-deductible financial contribution to the best of their ability. Radius Ensemble liberates classical music for a new generation of music lovers with a fresh combination of eclectic programming and intimate performances by extraordinary musicians. Named Boston’s Best Classical Ensemble 2016 by the Improper Bostonian, and winner of a 2013 CMA/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming, Radius Ensemble’s thoughtfully curated programs balance old and new, with repertoire ranging from beloved masterworks to riveting new music – brilliantly performed by some of the best musicians in Boston. Radius’s go-for-broke performances are interspersed with brief remarks that entertain and enlighten, and followed by a free reception where musicians, composers, and listeners truly connect.
