I am a unit owner in a 47-unit condo complex in Chelsea. We have had turnover in the keeping of our books for a number of years, and I and several other owners are losing confidence in their accuracy. Unfortunately, MA condo law only mandates annual audits for condos with 50+ units. We are self-managed, and the current board has made some questionable decisions so we don't believe they will seek out an audit themselves. We are in need of a full audit of our financial records, which we hope will lead to better record-keeping and a more robust understanding of our financial position as unit owners in this complex.
