We hope you are well. We are excited to share that applications for scholarships and nominations for the MSCPA Outstanding Educator of the Year Award are now open! Please read below for more information.

MSCPA 2020 Scholarships Are Now Open 

We are pleased to announce that we have restructured our scholarship program and will now be offering scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $10,000. The process for a student couldn't be easier – all required application documents can be uploaded to an online portal.

CPA Exam Voucher Lottery

In an effort to defray the costs associated with the CPA Exam, the Society will award Exam Vouchers in the amount of $500 to 20 lucky winners of our CPA Exam Voucher Lottery.

MSCPA 2020 Outstanding Educator of the Year Award
Do you have a professor who has made an impact in your academic career? The MSCPA is now soliciting nominations for its Outstanding Accounting Educator Award for 2020. The purpose of the award is to recognize full-time college accounting educators who exhibit excellence in classroom teaching and active involvement in the accounting profession. The recipient will receive $1,000 to further his/her professional development and a matching gift will be given to the college's accounting department in their honor.

The deadline to submit a nomination is March 13, 2020. All nominations will be held confidential, including to the nominees themselves, and only the recipient of the award will be announced. Previous nominations will remain active for three years, unless we are informed that the candidate's application should be withdrawn from consideration. 
AICPA Accounting Scholars Leadership Workshop
The AICPA Accounting Scholars Leadership Workshop (ASLW) is an all-expenses-paid annual invitation program for minority accounting students who plan to pursue the CPA designation. This event aims to strengthen students' professional skills and understanding of the limitless possibilities of earning the CPA credential.
 
Date: Wednesday, May 13 – Friday, May 15, 2020
Location: Le Meridien, 333 Poydras St, New Orleans, LA 70130

 
The deadline to apply is January 20, 2020.
