Join us next Wednesday, May 23 as we come together to celebrate the power of a helping hand and the achievements of students pursuing careers in accounting. In addition to our scholarship recipients, we will honor MSCPA Outstanding Educator of the Year, Shay Blanchette.
We’re pleased to announce that with this year’s 51 scholarships, we have surpassed $1,000,000 in awards to worthy students since the inception of the MSCPA’s Firm/Corporate giving program in 2006.
The Believers & Achievers Reception will take place at the Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy; there is no fee to attend. |

Do you enjoy traveling? Here’s an opportunity to teach Managerial and Financial Accounting at Shanghai University to a group of Chinese students who attend major U.S. universities during the academic year. The program runs from July 2 to August 2 and the classes are taught in English using U.S. textbooks and U.S. GAAP. You’ll be asked to “hang out” with the students to allow them to learn more about U.S. culture and further master their English-speaking skills. Several free trips are planned to historical sites. Additionally, faculty are free to go on additional trips at their own expense. If interested, please contact Dr. Li Feng at the Boston office of MEI at li.feng@meiedu.net. |

As many of you know, I will be retiring on June 1 after 20 years with the MSCPA. It will definitely be a bittersweet departure, I consider many of you not only colleagues, but friends. The Academic and Career Development program will be in the very capable hands of Erica DeBiase, whom many of you have met during the past two years in her role as Academic Specialist. Joining the team will be Jessica “Jess” Yu, a 2013 grad of UMass Lowell who just celebrated her first year as the MSCPA’s receptionist. Click here to "meet" the new ACD Team!
I am truly honored and humbled to have worked with such dedicated faculty and wonderful students! THANK YOU for the support you have given me and the ACD program throughout my tenure, it’s been an absolute pleasure.
Best wishes for a wonderful summer,
Barbara
