News from the MSCPA: Scholarship Opportunities, Upcoming Events & More!
High School Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Opportunity 
The MSCPA is proud to support and host summer programs for underrepresented students to learn more about the incredible opportunities available to them in the accounting profession. If you are a graduate of an MSCPA college and career readiness summer program (ACAP or C.A.M.P.), you are welcome to apply for the Diversity & Inclusion High School Scholarship! This is an opportunity that your students will not want to miss. Recipients can renew this scholarship each year, with awards amounting up to approximately $10,000 over the course of their college career.

The deadline to apply is March 13, 2020.

KPMG Future Leaders Program for Women
We are thrilled to share this exciting opportunity for women completing their senior year in high school! The KPMG Future Leaders Program is a charitable initiative focused on developing future generations of women leaders. The program annually awards 22 top female high school seniors the opportunity to enhance their personal growth through college scholarships, a leadership development retreat, mentorship and an introduction to golf. The program helps these young women build a strong foundation and instills the confidence and leadership skills they need to succeed in college and ultimately, in their long-term careers. 
 
Applications are now open for the 2020 KPMG Future Leaders Program. This opportunity will award a student:
  • A scholarship of $10,000 per year for four years of college;
  • A pairing with an executive woman mentor for one-year; and
  • A three-day leadership development retreat held this summer at KPMG's new state-of-the art Innovation and Learning Center in the community of Lake Nona in Orlando, FL.

Applications must be submitted by Friday, January 31, 2020 and winners will be selected and notified by Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
 
MSCPA/Bentley Conference: "Is Accounting for Me?" 
Join us for an exciting day of exploring the accounting profession! This event includes interactive activities, opportunities to network with students from local high schools, a chance to engage with professionals and college faculty as well as a taste of the college life. 

There is no fee to attend. Please notify your business teacher if interested or contact one of us directly to register. 

When: Friday, December 6
Where: Bentley University 
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. 

 
The deadline to register is this Friday, November 22.
 
*Continental breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. and lunch is included.
