MSCPA Colllege & Career Readiness Programs
|

|
The MSCPA offers and supports summer programs for underrepresented students to learn more about the accounting profession. These programs offer a diverse set of learning experiences that include panel discussions, interactive exercises, field trips and guest lectures from area business and government professionals. The programs are designed to be fun, challenging and engaging. You will have the opportunity to explore, network and increase your understanding about college and the business world while
making new friends and developing interpersonal skills in a real-life college setting.
ACE (Accounting Careers Exploratory) Leadership Program: Non-Residential
The ACE (Accounting Careers Exploratory) Leadership Program is a free one-week non-residency program for underrepresented high school students interested in learning more about a career in accounting and business.
Dates:
July 27 – July 31 OR August 3 – August 7
Locations: Fisher College OR Suffolk University
*Students will be placed in a program based on their availability.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, March 18.

Careers in Accounting and Management Professions (C.A.M.P.) Program: Residential
UMass Amherst will once again offer their residential Careers in Accounting and Management Professions (C.A.M.P.) program from Sunday, July 19 – Friday, July 24. C.A.M.P. aims to ensure that high school students from all backgrounds – particularly those that are underrepresented in business professions – have a chance to learn about career tracks in accounting and management. To apply, you must be completing the tenth or eleventh grade and interested in the accounting or business fields.
The deadline to apply is Friday, May 22.

High School Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Opportunity

MSCPA college and career readiness summer program (ACAP & C.A.M.P.) graduates are encouraged to apply for the Diversity & Inclusion High School Scholarship! Recipients can renew this scholarship each year, with awards amounting up to approximately $10,000 over the course of their college career. If you have graduated from an MSCPA summer program, please take advantage of this opportunity. The deadline to apply is March 13, 2020.

High School Conferences – Register Now!

Join us for a day of exploring the accounting profession! New this year, you will have the opportunity to participate in technology break-out sessions to understand how cutting-edge technological advances are affecting the accounting profession and being used by CPAs in their day-to-day work, such as blockchain, data visualization, bots and virtual reality (and try out some virtual reality goggles!). This event is appropriate for high-performing sophomores, juniors and seniors.
If you are interested in attending, please reach out to your accounting/business teacher.
We are happy to provide them with registration information upon request.
