Enrichment Programs for Sophomores and Juniors
In an effort to introduce the accounting profession to minority high school students, the MSCPA sponsored two, week-long programs this summer: Careers in Accounting and Management Professions (CAMP) at UMass Isenberg School of Management and Accounting Careers Awareness Program (ACAP) at Fisher College in Boston. One of the highlights of the week was the students’ trip to Fenway Park where they enjoyed their own private tour and presentation by Tim Zue, CFO of the Red Sox. They had a blast!

MSCPA Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Opportunities
In May 2017, the MSCPA was thrilled to award $1,000 scholarships to four high school seniors who will be studying accounting in college. In addition to their scholarship, each receives an introduction to the accounting firm that sponsored them, perhaps leading to an internship and mentoring opportunity. By attending CAMP or ACAP, your students have the potential to receive up to $10,000 during their college years. Stay tuned for information about our summer 2018 programs!

MSCPA Student Membership for High School Students
Please encourage your students to take advantage of our MSCPA high school membership! High school juniors and seniors with potential interest in majoring in accounting or business will be directly informed about scholarship opportunities, conferences and workshops. If a student wants to learn more about the accounting program at a particular college, we’ll introduce them to an MSCPA student member or professor who can help.
