CEO CORNER

Dear Hannah,

Last night I was reminded of just how fast the world is changing. Nearly 200 members listened intently as AICPA President and CEO Barry Melancon spoke about technology disruptors, such as artificial intelligence, bots and blockchain – changes that are redefining the accounting profession, which will be unrecognizable in under a decade.
Learn more about these changes here.

Much of Barry’s discussion centered on the evolving role of the CPA. In these extraordinary times, clients and businesses trust their CPA to help them navigate the disruption. How can we provide greater value to them? As a profession, we have to move ahead faster than ever before. To get started, I encourage you to
check out these webinars on blockchain technology.

While these changes can seem overwhelming, it is also a thrilling time full of new opportunities. I’m excited to be on this journey with you, and look forward to advancing the profession together.

P.S. – One more change: don’t forget to turn your clocks back this weekend!

Have a great weekend!

Amy Pitter
MSCPA President/CEO
